ABOUT US

The Lanka Fruit & Vegetable Producers, Processors and Exporters Association (LFVPPEA) was established in 1986 to create a single platform for all stakeholders involved in the Supply Chain for the Export of Fruits and Vegetables, both Fresh and Processed.

Its progress, charted over 31 active years, has been significant. The commitment and dedication of its leadership, and the active support of its membership since its inception has been exceptional, resulting in this Association being recognized as a responsible and respected Organization.

The LFVPPEA is engaged in ongoing dialogue with different Agencies and Authorities on behalf of its Members, with a view towards continuously revising the related protocols governing every aspect of the Supply Chain operation, right up to the point of dispatch to Sri Lanka's valued overseas Buyers

A list of the many Organizations with which the Association interacts on behalf of its membership is given overleaf. Even during the very turbulent times brought about by internal conflict which was unfortunately followed by the economic meltdown in the international arena, the export of Fruits and Vegetables (fresh and processed) continued relentlessly.

The F&V Export sector has recorded a turn over of US$ 5Bn in 2010. The Association's aggressive development plan is focused on doubling Export revenues by 2015. Towards this goal, its Membership is assured that their efforts will be supported with the assistance the Lanka Fruit and Vegetable Producers Processors and Exporters Association.
